Artificial Intelligence (A.I.). is Artificial

Updated: 12 minutes ago

It seems like everything today comes with Artificial Intelligence. If you are like me attempting to keep up with the various AI Bots is challenging since they seem to be multiplying faster than rabbits.

I am blessed that within my social sphere Nikolas Danaylou has become my "Go-To" Guru regarding Artificial Intelligence. Thankfully Nik has both the time and the energy to conduct deep studies regarding AI and as a result he is in high demand as a key note speaker on the topic. So why am I blessed? I get direct access to Nik's mind and sometimes a pretty blunt opinion regarding the topic.

Last year Nik and I were at a social gathering with nothing better to discuss than AI. At that time he quickly informed me that current AI is about "Content" but lacks "Context". For example if you ask an AI Bot to provide you with a diet of eating shredded glass it will without providing negative the consequences.

You may want to watch this link to this 4 min piece on Content vs Context by Nikolas so that get the basic idea: Nikola Danaylov: Content is NOT King, Context Is!

I am being bombarded with feeds wanting me to use AI in several instances. I started to deep dive into how to use AI for Forecasting until I was sitting next to another AI Guru in a seminar who quickly advised me that even a mathematical formula is AI. Thank goodness for that, i was concerned that my years of studying statistical forecasting had been a waste.

I also realized that an AI Response came from existing content and did not necessarily force you to either study more or deeper on a topic but rather provided you with a homogenized pleasant and convincing response.

Then this article appeared

Or here ...

In essence that article took the position that ChatGPT may help you find information faster, but you learn less.

Punted the article to Guru Nikolas ....

This was an interesting read …

Wondering if Francis (another mutual friend), now that she is avoiding using Google, she may inadvertently getting less intelligent.

Nik Responded

Yes, Richard,

Unfortunately, the evidence on this is now both long-standing and powerful. It seems that our brain is like our human body and exercise: No pain, no gain Even worse, in the long run, it becomes:Use it, or lose it!

My response ..

I agree! Nik,

Just had not thought this concept completely through.  Interesting now seeing folks advertising they can get your content into CHAT GPT responses, which now creates another new frontier … Is google going to die?

Nik overcame his natural shyness with this response ..

Hey Richard,

To be blunt, that narrative is outdated — we’re talking 2023 thinking. And as for the people claiming they can “get you into ChatGPT,” take that with a mountain of salt. Short-term bumps don’t equal real traction, and most of those promises don’t survive scrutiny.

To your actual question: No, Google is nowhere near a deathbed. They saw the threat the day ChatGPT launched and immediately issued a “Code Red.” Fast-forward to now: Gemini 3.0, released about 10 days ago, is outperforming the latest ChatGPT in most benchmarks. This time it was OpenAI's Sam Altman who sent a Code Red email, according to the Wall Street Journal. In terms of product capability, Google is at least neck-and-neck — and they’re doing it with 600 million users vs. ChatGPT’s ~900 million.

More importantly, Google is making money. Their AI strategy is backed by positive cashflow. OpenAI isn’t in that position; given their compute burn and obligations to Microsoft, they’ll likely be losing money for years.

Google’s real advantage is its full vertical stack — its own chips, infrastructure, and seamless integration of Gemini across products hundreds of millions already use daily. The AI race is accelerating, and it’s far too close to call. And that’s before you factor in China in general — and DeepSeek in particular. Counting China out is always a mistake.

One last thing: On Monday at 6:30 a.m. I’m releasing my second interview with Jad Tarifi, whose team is pursuing a completely different architecture and openly claiming they’ve effectively designed AGI. That conversation may shift or at least illuminate your frame on all of this. I've never said "Wow" so many times during an interview, and I never say "Wow" to begin with.

Interesting times indeed. 😉
